BUSH CHOOK
“Angus”
Set in a remote roadhouse on the edge of the Nullarbor Plain, Bush Chook is a darkly comic play about the dangers women face in isolation. Mary, a 19-year-old on her way to Perth, crosses paths with Angus, 26, heading east to visit his dying father. Their chance encounter begins with laughter, flirtation and shared drinks, but slowly reveals darker truths beneath Australia’s festive surface.

TEETH
“The Devout”/Deviser
Above, the Tenders worship The Creator with smiling “Gifts.” Below, the Giftless cry out through uncrowded mouths. In this parallel world, faith, loyalty and perfectionism are tested in a commune where “The Word” rules. Sermons are delivered, doubts are punished, and differences divide as the question lingers: what is worthy of our love?

In this darkly comic tale time unfolds in reverse, exposing the depths of social inequality and community decay. Through a viral video, fear-driven corporations, prank calls, and stark class divides, Tom Fowler’s gripping narrative reveals one town’s tragic spiral under the weight of systemic neglect.
